Flagsystem for working with adults

Launched april 2021

The Adult Flag System is intended for professionals working in health care, care for people with disabilities, elder care, mental health care, primary care, but it can also be useful  in the work context, leisure and sports.

In the version for adults we take the professional who  cares for the well-being of adults as the focus. Even more so than with children and adolescents, the adult himself will also make his own assessments, consciously direct and weigh his own actions. The tool is therefore intended for different levels.
The target group for this adult version is primarily the professional. They can use the Flag System on 3 levels namely:

  • at client level: as an  instrument for working with clients, in discussing sexual behaviour in which they are involved
  • at the level of the team and the professional, the method can be used to reflect on how to assess certain situations, how to deal with them, and what competencies are needed in professionals to do so
  • at the level of the organization, one can work proactively or reactively towards a better policy by reflecting on incidents, shortcomings, evolutions, etc.

There are 50 situation cards that can be used to discuss situations of sexually transgressive behavior, weigh and prepare response modes or evaluate and adjust.
